This is a good week, a fun week, a cool week…we’re excited.
News on the homefront: Embrocation is now selling Pegoretti bicycles. We like to think of ourselves as a bit above the hero-worship thing here, but seriously, who are we kidding? Getting to represent Dario in any way? Dream come true.
Embrocation Cycling Journal Volume 7 stockists of the week: Bike Effect in Santa Monica, CA. They stock more Parlee, Moots and Time, and more other high end bike brands than we can list. And their shop uniform appears to be Rapha shirts embroidered with the Bike Effect logo. That’s slick.
To our friends down under, and yes, we actually do have a good following in Australia thanks in no small part to Malachi and the bunch at Northside Wheelers. So, confirm or deny: is this what you guys do down there during the winter?
Ridiculous bike news: BMC to team up with Lamborghini to make Lamborghini flavored BMC bike.
That BMC looks pretty fly but what’s the most advanced bike on the market? Why, it’s the Dogman, of course.
Also in the world of shiny lugs and whizzing sprockets, and fitting for our 11th installment of this here Weekly Roundup, the 11-speed wars are heating up.
Apropos of nothing: we miss this guy, if not the nastiness that surrounded that time. Still, it’s nice to see the predominance of aluminum bikes, climbing in the drops, and helmetlessness.
And in racing news, it’s Tour of Romandie week, and a certain top rider, who may or may not be a member of Radiohead, (the hair!) seems to be delivering on four years of promises. If we were Cadel Evans we’d be nervous; Wiggo has his eyes on yellow for July, he has a good team, and 100km+ of time trialing weigh heavily on his favor for this year’s Grand Boucle. Besides, riding the field off your wheel just looks cool. So for the race junkies, here’s out favorite clip of the week:
Odds and ends:
Sometimes you just see inspiring words and pictures and want to share them: Heavenly commute action.
Other times you see things that you like, but they make you oddly jealous and grumpy: Stupid Bay Area being perfect again. We’ll be sorry, and a bit smug, when you fall into the ocean.
C’est tout. Out with you; to the bikes.
