Rochester Cross

All the training has paid off leading into the cyclocross season. The long days on the bike, the early nights to get the necessary recovery, and all the other things that comes along with trying to become a top level cyclocross racer. A second place at the first UCI cross race of the year is everything that I could have wanted. It was a hard fought battle with several other racers, but I was confident that my fitness is at another level this year. Coming into the last section of the course with a gap over 3rd place helps to erase all the pain that is shooting through my legs… In fact you completely forget about everything else and lose yourself in the moment that you dream about. 2nd place is my best placing in a UCI cross race and it came against some incredible competition with the likes of Jon Page, Bazin, Lindine, Richey, and Wells.

Perfect start to the season. It will only keep getting better throughout the season.
