Powers launched himself from the gun to his second National Championship, but not after an intense chase from Ryan Trebon and Tim Johnson, both of Cannondale/Cyclocrossworld.com. The bike ridden by our new champion will look very familiar as he's piloted it for the last few seasons, but we still took the chance to grab a few shots of today's setup.
The drivetrain is his normal setup of SRAM Red all around, slowed down by Avid's top-tier Shorty Ultimate cantilever brakes. Powers was the only one on the podium running cantilever brakes, do with that information what you will.
Rolling stock consisted of his very familiar Easton EC90 wheels and Dugast Typhoon tires. I noticed the Typhoon and Fast Bird were the two most popular treads in the Pro race from Powers' tire supplier, Dugast.
Finishing kit consisted of Easton EC90 bars and seatpost, EA90 stem, Crank Brothers Candy 11 pedals, Fizik Aliante VS saddle, and Fizik tape.
