Alright, Maglia Nera fans… we skipped out on reporting yesterday because nothing really happened.

Stage 4 Giovinazzo – Bari 112km
It rained more. Short, flat stage. There was a weird finish, but as usual the fastest guy won. Caught a little TV time of Ramon getting tailed off the back of the bunch when they were in the circuit with around 30k to go. No change to Maglia Nera standings, Ramon is at +24:16.

Stage 5 Taranto – Viggiano 203km
More of a lumpy stage, with a Cat3 and two Cat4 climbs. No Ramon sightings today, but I’m guessing dude was suffering pretty badly. Our Maglia Nera contender rolled in at +26:12 with Arnaud Courteille (FDJ) and Tom Stamsnijder (Giant-Shimano) bringing his GC standing to +50:27.

I’m beginning to wonder if he can make it through; there may be an abandon or time cut in his future. It’s Ramon’s first Grand Tour, so we’re hoping he can pull through and finish!
