Gaulzetti Cicli Philosophy | View All Gaulzetti Models | Inquire About Gaulzetti

It's only still early January, but we can't escape the feeling that the season is already upon us as bikes keep coming out of our shop and to awaiting riders all over. It feels good. Here's some of what's been going on around the Gaulzetti Shop.

Statement of Purpose | Gaulzetti Models | Gallery | Inquire

It's been a steady stream of grey and black bikes around here at Embrocation lately and while we love the class and subtlety of these paint schemes, it's sometimes good to see a splash of bright color. In this case, it's our classic Belgian Blue, one of the first colors to ever appear on a Gaulzetti and still one of our favorites.

This is the latest iteration of the Corsa in size 54cm. This bike is going to its new owner as a frameset featuring all the stock Corsa features like Enve fork painted to match, Chris King I7 headset, Deda seat mast topper and in this case, a Shimano-compatible press fit BB from Parlee with Enduro bearings.

Gallery: Cazzo in Gun Metal Grey with Dura Ace 9000

Another week, another bike in our Gun Metal Grey color, which is undoubtedly the most popular color in our lineup for 2012. It's a sharp color and probably the perfect one for purpose-built bikes made from metal. It's also a neutral template for adding other splashes of color, such as the Chris King headset, bottom bracket and hubs on this build, all in green. It's also a near-perfect match for the smokey but shiny silver/grey found on the stunning new DA9000 parts, featured here.

Full specs on this bike:

  • Frame: 55cm Cazzo
  • Fork: Whiskey Components road
  • Wheels: Luxe Alloy clinchers (box section H Plus Son Rims, Sapim spokes, kings hubs)
  • Gruppo: Dura Ace 9000 mechanical, full group
  • Handlebar: Deda RHM01
  • Stem: Deda Zero1
  • Seatpost: Deda RS01
  • Saddle: Prologo Nago Evo TS
  • Tires: Michelin Pro4 Endurance 700x25 with latex inner tubes
  • Bar Tape: Lizard Skins DSP 1.8mm
  • GMGC1A 55cm Cazzo in Gun Metal Grey with White logos.

GMGC2Oversized steel main tubes meet head tube with King headset installed.

GMGC3Oversized chain stays have a gradual taper toward the dropouts.

GMGC4King BB in green mated to Shimano's excellent new Dura Ace crank.

GMGC5A good view of how large the chainstays become at the BB junction - critical to get the taught ride quality we want in the Cazzo.

GMGC6The matching King rear hub is the heart of the Luxe wheelset on this Cazzo.

GMGC7And the front hub. The fork on this bike is a full carbon offering from Whiskey Components, an unusual spec on the Cazzo but a nice, stiff fork.

GMGC8A good view of the rear triangle, optimized for stiffness but also with thought toward greater-than-average wheel clearance.

GMGC9Standard road cable routing for the mechanical Dura Ace parts.

GMGC11One of the most beautiful and (in our opinion) underrated tube junctions on a bike: thin seat stays fitting tightly to the seat tube.

GMGC10Cable guides with brass barrel adjusters astride the oversized down tube. Also note the box section rims on the Luxe wheels. Cool.
