For the last couple of years we have been traveling around the country racing our bicycles. We are not professional racers in the traditional sense, meaning, we don’t get paid to race our bikes. Not with money anyway. We get paiiiid in the sense that we get to hang out with cool people, grease up our legs, race our asses off, drink some good beer, eat a bunch of food and then do it all again the next day.

This first volume is a collection of these experiences. As you will see we called on people we met along the way to contribute to this first issue, and it is our hope that we can continue to do so.

Cyclocross is but one of our passions. A cross section of the cycling community and we are not saying it is the best or the sexiest...well, ok, maybe we are a little bit...but there is room for interpretation. It is my hope that with the support of the cycling community, and by that I mean the writers, photographers, riders, racers, mechanics, frame builders, and the like, Embrocation can continue to evolve.

So, by all means, contribute, comment, help us to advance this sport which we love.

Oh, and don’t forget to Embrocate Regularly.
